Welcome to our Company’s timeline. Since 2013 and until now tremendous progress has been done in terms of growing a company and developing a technology that aims to create a circular economy. There is still a significant amount of work to be done, but we are hereby sharing with you the milestones we have achieved over the years, and more are to come.
We are committed to growing the company even more and we put all our efforts into that. We are excited about the future and opportunities that lie ahead of us.
In June 2023 Circlia Nordic has elected Peter Heydorn as the new chairman of the board, a man with extensive knowledge and experience in the field
Circlia became a part of the EU-funded research project CIRCULAIR
2022 has been a year of growing and development. Multiple emoployees joined Circlia Nordic either full time or part time and started putting their effort towards helping develop the technology.
Circlia Nordic received an investment from ECCO Investment Coorporation and has being restructured.
· Circlia Nordic became part of the EUDP funded project: Sludge2fuel which aims to validate the world’s first full scale implementation of the direct conversion of wet wastewater sludge to sustainable fuels. Partners: Crossbridge Energy, Fredericia Spildevand & Energi, Krüger-Veolia, Aarhus University
The company has acquired the central intellectual property rights to core aspects of
the hydrothermal conversion process.
Circlia Nordic was founded in 2014/2015 under the name Bio2Oil (B2O) and is based on the founder’s experience and expertise from developing and upscaling of biorefining processes.
Ib Johannsen, the founder of Circlia Nordic got the opportunity to design a HTL pilot plant for Aarhus University from scratch. The design energy efficiency and scalability were given high emphasis, and new technologies resulted from the process
